About the Course

First time triathletes, beginners, and youth, this race is made just for you!

The Try-a-Tri is a non-competitive event and will be a small field of participants who are just wanting to Try-A-Tri. The Youth Tri does have age group awards.

The short swim in Foster Lake is warm enough (72 degrees)¬†you do not need a wet suit if you don’t want one, and will be very well supported by water safety personnel. The bike is a flat out and back along the lake without any tight turns or steep climbs and the road is closed to through vehicle traffic. Lastly, the run for the last leg of the day is a 2.5k. The 2.5k run is entirely on closed roads and is open to athletes of all ages and we mean ALL ages. Kids, eat your little hearts out on this super safe course. Leave the excuses behind and get ready to Try-a-Tri! If get to the run and want to do a 5k, that’s an option! Ask us at the race.

The aid station will be at the exit of the park at about mile 0.4 and 1.2 of the run. Aid stations will include restrooms, water, gel and sports drink.
