Swim Course – 9:30am
Bike Course – 1:00pm
Our road permits allow for our flaggers to be in place until 1pm at the latest. At that time, we are required to pull all flaggers, aid stations and volunteers from the course up to the dam. If a racer is still on the bike course at that time, we will check on them to make sure they are in good health, and are making good progress toward finishing the course. If they chose to continue, they will be required to follow the rules of the road.
Check points: Turn around for lap 2 at the Dam 11:00am, Final turn around (mile 41) 12:00pm
If you are behind the check point times, our course sweep will check on you, give you a course map, and let you know when to start following the rules of the road.
Run Course – 4pm
The run course has a similar set up. Our permit allows for the run to go until 4pm. After that, we have to pull all equipment in and open the road closure on North River Road. Again, any racers out there in good health and making good progress will be allowed to continue.
Check points: Begin Lap 2 2:00pm, Turn around 2 (second lap) 3:15pm
When it comes time to take down our Aid Stations, we will give you a water bottle and course map. Please plan to carry extra gels or nutrition at that time. It’s ok to have a friend walk/jog with you after the cut off.
Finish Line – No cut off
We leave the finish line up until every able person has crossed.
If you think you will be cutting it close, please make sure you are prepared to be self supported at the later part of the day. Anyone on course AFTER the cut offs will be allowed to have outside support from a friend or family member.
